French, 19th Century Large Wrought-Iron Lantern
Tall and elegant wrought iron lantern, originally designed to be placed atop a masonry column. Very heavy. The base is pierced with holes to secure into place. Topped with stylized fleur-de-lys finials. The central shaft is hollow, to thread wiring through. The light bulbs would be placed towards the top of the shaft. Alternatively, would make a very chic umbrella Stand! Three available.
